Location and Traffic

GyeongsangBuk-do lies in the southeastern region of the Korea peninsula and is 170km~430km away form Seoul. The extensive transportation networks by air, rapid transit railways, and expressways for cars enable pepo;e to reach most regions of South Korea conveniently and quickly.

Dynamic Gyeongbuk

Gumi is an industrial center for electronics, semiconductors, and display industries, and is becoming the power base for Korean industries in the 21st century.
established in 1968 as the first Korean blast furnace enterprise, has 2 integrated steelworks : Pohang Steel Works and Gwangyang Steel Works. Itis the world’s leading steel mill producing as much as 33 million tons of crude steel every year.
Just like it established the foundation of the development of our country, Gyeongbuk education is cultivating the talented individuals who will be a pillar of the country in the future.

Gyeongbuk Where History Is Alive

Gyeongbuk is an excellent representation of Korea culture which includes the Buddhist culture spanning a thousand years of the brilliant Silla Kingdom, and Confucianism told through the story of the Seonbi Spirit of the Joseon Dunasty, as well as many others. Gyeongbuk Education is nurturing talented individuals who will create new history based on the glorious tradition of our ancestors.
Dosanseowon Confucian Academy

It was the place where Toegye Lee hwang, a great scholar of the Joseon Dynasty, taught his followers and pursued studies after his retirement.
Gyeongbuk Education is continuing in his spirit in trying to build students’ integrity and in developing academics.

Ulleungdo

Since the acquisition of Ulleungdo during the Silla Kingdom in 512(King Jijeung 13), its patrol and immigration to it started in 1694(King Sukjong 20).
This island is well-known for its seafood like squid, Dol seaweed, as well as many others, and about 350,000 turists visit this island every year because of its beautiful scenery.

Hahoe Village

It is a village that provides a glimpse of the traditional houses and villages from the early days of the Joseon Dynasty.
Byeolsingut and the Mask Dance. which originated to create unity and peace in the community, is full of satire and humor and has contributed to the unity of the society.

Yangdong Village

Is was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site for showing a model of the Yangban Village in Joseon Dynasty.
As a village that had produced a lot of premiers and great scholars, it has a vision of Gyeongbuk education to cultivate talented individuals.

Gyeongju Historic Areas

As a city that embraces the history of about 1,000 years of the Silla Kingdom, Gyeongiu’s five historic areas were registered as World Heritage by the UNESCO and continue in the spirit of Korea.

Seokgulam

It represents the beauty of Korean buddhism.
Its Bonjon Buddha which waits for the first sunlight every morning symbolizes the bright future of Gyeongbuk Education.
